Received a call from a family who was visiting Lido Beach and the ring slipped off into the ocean. Lifeguards told the family that detectorists often help people recover items and so they called me after searching online.
But unfortunately the storms moved in just as I was traveling to the beach. So I had to wait out the lighting and wind with the family waiting for it to pass. When all was clear, she walked out first to show me how far she thought it was, but within just a few swings, I found the ring much closer to shore. Quickest return I’ve made so far, and glad I got so lucky.
As I left, the sky gave me a beautiful view. Got to love seeing those beautiful skylines after the storm passes! Great view to a great ending!
